The Repository Archive
Project Gateway 5 introduces The Repository Archive.
The Archive is part of the Repository Suite.
The archive is an
agent driven automated database for storing completed projects, deliverables, and timesheets so that they can be
easily accessed for future reference.
When a project is marked for archiving, all project documents, issues, assignments, status reports, and
inter-project dependencies are moved to the archive, then safely deleted from the repository.
The layout of the archive is exactly the same as that of the repository with the addition of a new Archive Administration Navigator to control the transfer of information.
Supporting profile documents in the repository are shadowed in the archive.
To prevent inadvertent deletions, only administrators can initiate archiving. Several modes of operation are provided.
