Assignment Information Transfer
Each participant can individually instruct Project Gateway to send descriptions of scheduled tasks to their PalmPilot or WorkPad
when the tasks come within an adjustable time horizon. These messages appear on the ToDo list of the PalmPilot and in the To Do section of your Notes Mailbox
with an attached memo for each that lists the dates, effort, status and tasknote. These will be updated if the assignment is rescheduled.
Dashboard Information Transfer
Each Project and Program manager can instruct Project Gateway to send dashboard summaries to the
PalmPilot of that manager's active projects.
These messages provide the projected project dates and current project statistics including actual hours and assignments complete, overdue and remaining.
They include counts of key events and overdue issues. These summaries are updated nightly.
Each project manager can individually select those projects for which information should be maintained. Program managers
may elect to receive updates on all projects in their program.
How it works
Users select the transfer option in the Participant, Project and Program Profile forms.

Project Gateway agents run nightly to compose the messages and send them to the designated user's Notes Mailbox.
In that mailbox, another agent, provided with Project Gateway, recognizes updated information and consolidates changes. The Lotus EasySync software then supports the transfer of these messages to the PalmPilot during synchronization. The process is therefore completely automated so
that the user has up-to-date assignment and project information available in the organizer at all times.
You do not need to install any software into the organizer to use it with Project Gateway, but you do require the Lotus EasySync application. Use of the Project Gateway components is included with your Project Gateway user license.
