Agent Based Graphics
Overview
Project Gateway provides agent-based graphics, which allow all users of the repository to have up to date charts of project, program, participant, and departmental schedules.



The underlying concept of agent-based graphics is simple. The user fills out a form called a Chart Definition, which is stored in the repository. The graphics agents, running on the Notes server, create chart files according to the user's instructions. These chart files are periodically updated, usually nightly, using the current project data in the repository. In order for charts to be created, the graphics agents must be scheduled for operation on the Notes server.



A local agent can be selected from the Notes menu to create or update a chart, and whenever the user wants to view a chart, all they have to do is double click the chart title. Charts are created in Adobe Acrobat format (.PDF), so that everyone in your organization can view the charts, regardless of what operating system they are running.
