New! Repository Schedules and Guides
Creating a project using a guide

Overview
The Lotus Components Project Scheduler is incorporated into Project Gateway to provide an easy way to create project plans from within Notes.

A Repository Schedule is a Notes document, created in a Project Gateway database, which contains an embedded Lotus component Project Scheduler control. Each Repository Schedule contains a plan consisting of one or more tasks with start and finish dates, linkages to other tasks, and resource assignments plus some additional information provided in the form outside of the control. A repository schedule can contain hundreds of tasks, but this facility will more commonly be used for smaller projects.

Once prepared, a Repository Schedule can
easily be published by just pressing a button. When this is done, assignment documents will be created for each work assignment in the plan and a Project Profile document will be created. Assignments in a published project will appear in the to-do lists and be monitored by the ProjectGo! agents.

Entering a Plan
There are three ways to enter your tasks:
- Manually typing tasks into the schedule
- Copying tasks from an existing project published in the database
- Using a Repository Guide
